Pools are created when project owners submit their projects for START token holders to vote on whether they will be allowed to proceed to sale. All of the important information that investors need to know is readily available when looking at each pool. The terms of the pool are all clearly laid out along with relevant links to the project's website, social media accounts, and contract addresses. Copies of any approved audits on the project are also provided.
SoftCap: The minimum amount of base tokens (EOS in this example) that must be raised for the pool to be successful.
HardCap: The maximum amount of base tokens that can be raised and will trigger the end of the pool.
Min Allocation: The minimum amount of base tokens each investor may contribute to the pool.
Max Allocation: The maximum amount of base tokens each investor may contribute to the pool.
Swap Ratio: The cost in base tokens for each token purchased in the pool.
Vesting: The time over which the allocated tokens are released.
Open Time: Start time of the presale (all time zones are based on your device's local time).
Close Time: End time of the presale unless the HardCap is reached first.
Whitelist: If there is a whitelist, only users in the whitelist are able to participate.
START token holder will be eligible to Vote "Yes" or "No" on whether a Pool will proceed with the sale. Your voting weight is equal to the amount of START tokens you have staked. In order to proceed with the sale, a Pool must receive a net amount of "Yes" votes equal to 5% of the total staked START tokens.
Example Voting Results:
Total staked = 1,000,000 START (5% = 50,000)
Pool receives 500,000 "Yes" votes and 200,000 "No" votes
500,000 - 200,000 = 300,000 net "Yes" votes
300,000 > 50,000 ==> Pool proceeds with the sale!
Anyone can join public pools. Premium pools require 500 START tokens to be staked (Locked for 30 days) in order to participate.
When the Open Time is reached, the Join button will be activated on the Pool and investors may purchase the pool's tokens with the specified base token.
The first 3 hours before the open time is reserved for VIP tier community members.
After the Open Time, premium pools can be joined by staking the additional 500 START.
At the end of the sale, the Claim Tokens button will be activated under the allocations tab to allow investors to receive the tokens they have purchased.
In the event that the SoftCap is not reached before the Close Time, any investors that contributed to the presale may claim their base token by clicking the Claim Tokens button.
